QA Engineer

A QA Engineer contractor is needed for an opportunity to work closely within an Agile team on story creation and other scrum activities including sprint planning, daily scrum, sprint review, and sprint retrospectives.

Onsite Requirements: 3 days/week- specific days are flexible

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for creating and executing automated test cases ensuring that all the requirements are met and that the solution works as expected.
• The solution should be tested in terms of functionality and compatibility with other legacy and / or external systems.
• Supports and adheres to testing standards, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistent testing procedure. Identifies, logs, and tracks defects.
• Provides reporting on those defects and escalates issues as needed.
• Other duties assigned by management. 

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree
• Min 1-3 years of API automation testing experience.
• Must have experience writing API tests using SoapUI and/or Postman.
• Required understanding of HTTP requests.
• Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) — to ensure ability to automate test cases and to communicate defects to developers and other stakeholders.
• Basic knowledge of Agile methodology and supporting tools
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
